Your 9-Day Itinerary
Arrive Jaipur. Transfer to heritage hotel. Afternoon: Hawa Mahal and local bazaar walk. Welcome dinner at rooftop restaurant with fort views.
Amber Fort with elephant ride (optional). City Palace and royal museum. Jantar Mantar astronomical observatory. Block-printing and gem-cutting workshop.
Drive to Jodhpur (5 hrs) via Ajmer and Pushkar stop. Arrive afternoon. Sunset walk through the blue-painted streets of Brahmpuri neighbourhood.
Mehrangarh Fort — the most imposing fort in Rajasthan. Jaswant Thada cenotaph. Ghanta Ghar clock tower market. Evening folk music performance at the fort.
Long drive across the desert plains (5 hrs). Arrive Jaisalmer. Jaisalmer Fort — a living fortress with havelis inside. Patwon ki Haveli carved mansion complex.
Morning at leisure. Afternoon camel safari into the Sam sand dunes. Sunset over the Thar Desert. Dinner under the stars with folk dancers and fire performers. Optional overnight camp in desert.
Drive to Udaipur (7 hrs) via Ranakpur — spectacular 1,444-pillar Jain marble temple. Arrive Udaipur, evening boat ride on Lake Pichola with City Palace and Lake Palace views.
City Palace museum — the largest palace complex in Rajasthan. Jagdish Temple. Village jeep safari through local Bhil tribal community. Evening at Bagore-ki-Haveli folk show.
Morning sunrise over the lake. Transfer to Udaipur airport or railway station. Farewell breakfast.
